Almost every Friday I get off the bus a few stops before my regular bus stop on my way home from work to do the weekly grocery shopping. I get ti all done, then my husband comes and pic me and the array of shopping bags up - and there aren't few bags usually! This Friday, however, we didn't need a lot of groceries - the time at the cabin meant we ate a lot of BBQ and dinners not planned for the week before, so we had lots of those planned meals to finish of the coming week instead.
But when I was on the bus, he sent me a text saying we needed parsley for a meal later, so I stopped at the same grocery store to get it there. I didn't have more than a few bags to carry, and the weather was decent, so I decided to walk from there (about a 25 minute walk or so). Suddenly though, I saw this black cloud over the mountains, and knew I probably would not make it all the way to my place before it would start to rain. And alas, it started to pour. I don't really mind as long as I am on my way home, though, and relished in the freshness it brought to the air, and the way it made the trees and sun-warmed asphalt smell. I have this open top bag where I almost always keep my Nikon D90, and it got some sprinkles of rain on it! She can handle it though, she is a toughy. :)
