Day 173/366: Mythos

Mythos beer

I love Mythos beer. It is bitter and strong in taste, and I drank several bottles every day :)

This was a super relaxing day just hanging at the beach, which was situated one step down from our veranda at the hotel where we stayed.

Seafood platter

Lots of seafood obviously in a fishing village

Day 172/366: Taking in the Mediterranean Sea

After a loooong day of travel that started at 4 am in the morning, the girls finally got to dip their feet into the Mediterranean sea. They were so happy! And looking forward to endless days of swimming. We were staying in Tolo, a small fishing village in Asini at the southern end of Peloponnese. It is a quiet, small, sleepy village where I have been a few times before, and my parents many times before... so a lot of the people running businesses there knows us.

It is soooo hard picking out photos from this trip to put into my 366 project, as there are many, many photos that tells so much about what we were doing, where we were going and what we were seeing and experiencing there.

This depicts so very well that first day of vacation to me, though...

It was a gorgeous first evening

Day 170/366: Morning wait

Day 170/366: Morning wait

Shot this just down from where I live, while waiting for my ride to work... I had a meeting quite early and having to get the girls ready for school as well as an almost one hour long bus commute would have made me late for it... so good thing my friend Bjørn Olav works at the same place, and that he was going a bit early as well this day, so I could hitch a ride with him - it only takes a bout 10-15 minutes to get to work by car. Sad but true! While I am glad there is a way to get to work by public transport, it does suck it takes such a long time.

Day 169/366: Friends and pavlova

Day 169/366: Friends and pavlova After spending most of the day packing and cleaning and organizing and doing laundry, Bjørn and his daughter Maja came over to get some info on taking care of Emma's guinea pig, since he is staying with them while we are in Greece for 10 days starting June 20th. I told him they might as well eat dinner here, and he was not hard to persuade! We had gyros with leftover lamb, home made tzasiki and yummy potatoes, and for dessert I made pavlova. It was a hit as always. I have nailed the making of the meringue, which can be tricky.
